About Ricky: Ricky O. enters his seventh season in the Vice President & Assistant General Manager roles with the Kraken and serves as the Kraken’s lead expert on contract negotiations, managing the salary cap, and the NHL collective bargaining agreement. Previously, Olczyk was the Assistant GM to Ron Francis for four years in Carolina, where he played an integral role in transforming the player development system from the lower third to a top-third team across the NHL. He was a driving force in founding Oklahoma City’s AHL franchise when he was the Assistant GM for the Edmonton Oilers (seven seasons). At the 2016 World Cup, as Assistant GM he was a key member of the management team for Team Europe, which won silver after a tight best-of-three final vs. Canada.
Fun Facts: Pronounced “ohl-check.” Played defense four seasons at Brown University, captain senior year. Captained USA Under-17 team to a silver on team with NHL Jeremy Roenick, Tony Amonte, and others. Earned a Cornell Law degree, worked as Associate Counsel for the NHL Players’ Association, and was a player agent. Competitive trail runner, dedicated vegan, and avid reader. Brother is Kraken broadcaster Eddie Olczyk. At Brown, DJ’d on campus and wrote an Honors Thesis in Philosophy: Life Is Essentially Competition.

About Ryan: Ryan Jankowski enters his first season as assistant general manager of the Seattle Kraken after spending the 2024-25 season as the Utah Mammoth's Associate Director of Amateur Scouting. He held the same role with the Arizona Coyotes from 2020-24.
His NHL experience includes seven years with the New York Islanders, four of which as an assistant GM (2006-10). During his time as assistant GM, Jankowski oversaw amateur scouting and player development. He joined the Islanders at the start of the 2002-03 season as a Western Scout. After one season in that role, he became the club's director of European scouting for three seasons before he was elevated to assistant GM.
Jankowski spent three seasons (2010-13) with the Montreal Canadiens as an amateur scout and three seasons (2017-20) with the Buffalo Sabres as director of amateur scouting. The Calgary, Alberta, native also spent four years (2013-17) in several roles with Hockey Canada, including head scout and director of player personnel. Prior to working in the NHL, Jankowski served as a scout for the Spokane Chiefs of the Western Hockey League (WHL) from 1997-2003, covering the entire Alberta province.
Fun Facts: Jankowski was able to become familiar with Seattle at an early age. Growing up in Calgary, AB, his family was able to receive broadcasts from local Seattle stations and the now assistant GM was a frequent watcher of KING5 programming.

About Alexandra: Entering her fourth season as Assistant General Manager and seventh year with the organization, Mandrycky oversees the Kraken Amateur Scouting group and Research & Development team. Previously, Mandrycky worked for four seasons with the Minnesota Wild as a hockey operations analyst. The Atlanta native earned a B.S. in industrial engineering from Georgia Tech in 2013.
Fun Facts: Named No. 4 in Sportsnet’s 2021 ranking of “25 Most Powerful Women in Hockey” and No. 4 in The Athletic’s 2020 ranking of “Hockey’s 40 under 40.”

What to know: First professional job in 2018 with the hometown NFL Philadelphia Eagles. Made name as an undergraduate at Penn's Wharton School of Business, presenting a 2017 original research paper at the Vancouver Hockey Analytics Conference (VanHAC) on what it means to "draft perfectly in the NHL." Comparing NFL and NHL drafts says both are "conducive to finding value late." Before joining Kraken in early 2020, regularly contributed to The Athletic and Hockey Graphs, and presented papers at MIT, Carnegie Mellon, and others.
Fun facts: She fell in love with hockey rooting for the Flyers during the 2010 Cup Final. As a high schooler, "Moneyball" and "Soccernomics" books planted the seeds for her career path. Shared No. 22 spot with Kraken pro scout Cammi Granato in Sportsnet's 2021 ranking of "25 Most Powerful Women in Hockey."

What to Know: Joins the Kraken's Hockey Strategy and Research as a member of Director Alexandra Mandrycky's staff. Served in operations for the NCAA Division I North Carolina State baseball program for the 2019 season, with the team finishing second in the ACC Atlantic Division with an overall record of 42-19 and 18-12 in conference play, earning a NCAA tournament bid.
Fun Facts: Earned a B.S. in Sport Management from North Carolina State with a minor concentration in Leadership.

What to Know: Hired in November 2019, completed master's degree in December from Simon Fraser U in Burnaby, B.C., and started analyzing pro players for Kraken in early January 2020. Conducted and published research across several sports (basketball, football, rowing) as a student. Interned with the NBA. Part of the first-place team in the Student Division of the 2018 NFL Big Data Bowl for a project using AWS Next Gen data to identify pass routes, and then analyze routes' success rates and big-play capability. Heavily recruited, chose Kraken in large part because GM Francis was an early innovator in hockey analytics (starting in 2015).
Fun Facts: Basketball was his sport as a high school and club athlete in native Vancouver. Played "ball hockey, road hockey, but not organized hockey." His brothers both played ice hockey and his dad is a lifelong NHL fan whose favorite all-time player is ... Ron Francis.

What to know: Worked in a similar role for Hockey Canada's Men's and Para National Teams over the past four years. 2019 World Junior Championship gold medalist, 2020 World Junior Championship silver-medalist (in bubble environment), 2019 silver-medalist Team Canada at World Championships working with Ron Francis and Jason Botterill who were co-managers. Defenseman at the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he earned a B.S. in Sport Management while serving as an assistant captain in his senior year. Captain of Drumheller Dragons in the AJHL prior to attending UMass.
Fun facts: Started an annual charity invitational golf tournament in 2015 and is still looking to win his first title. From Calgary, Alberta, and proud to bring the Stampede spirit to future country concerts at Climate Pledge Arena. Enjoys spending free time doing outdoor activities (golfing, camping, hiking, fishing, backyard games).

Worked as a legal research assistant for a forensic and clinical psychiatrist and as a research assistant for the Seattle Police Department - South Precinct. Just recently, spent the last few years back in Athletics where she was the Head Varsity Volleyball Coach at Auburn Riverside High School and served as a strength coach at Vie Athletics.
Fun Facts: Went to the University of Montana on a full-ride scholarship to play four years of Division I collegiate volleyball. Wrote and defended a 100-page thesis on Crisis Intervention Training. Holds the Washington State record for number of kills in one volleyball game. Grew up going to Tacoma Sabercats games every Friday night with her dad. A mother to a sweet 15-month-old boy.

Served in several roles over the last four years: manager, operations; manager, marketing operations and digital marketing specialist; and customer success marketer. Corporate sales intern with Carolina Hurricanes, 2014. Programming intern with game developer Red Storm Entertainment, 2011.
Fun Facts: Earned B.S. in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Clarkson University. Served as president, vice president, and secretary over four years with Clarkson Club Hockey.

What to know: Hired in August 2019 to the Premium Sales and Service team as the 45th employee of the Seattle Kraken. Completed Bachelor's Degree in Communication from the University of Washington in 2017 and worked with the Seattle Thunderbirds WHL team prior to the Kraken.
Fun Fact: Loves spending time with family and puppy, being active, and participating in anything sports-related. Has attended upwards of 800 T-Bird hockey games and family has been deeply involved with the Thunderbirds organization for nearly 40 years.
